Danfoss is bringing professional training for installers of its domestic heating controls to regional venues around the UK. One day training seminars are being held at various locations during 2012 so installers can choose a course that’s convenient for them, from Paisley’s Premier Inn in Scotland to the Solihull branch of Plumbase in the West Midlands. Training courses are run by an experienced Danfoss instructor and cover all aspects of domestic central heating controls techniques. Each training day includes a heating controls workshop, giving installers the chance to gain hands-on experience of wiring and fault finding under expert instruction.
Offering installer training courses in their area makes it easier for Danfoss customers to improve their skills and profitability, explains Marketing Director, Bjorn Sejr Nielsen. “Keeping up to date with the latest heating technology enhances your reputation as an installer,” he says, “and it opens up the opportunity for you to gain extra business by offering your customers control upgrades to optimise comfort and reduce heating costs.”
Danfoss regional training courses guide installers through the various heating systems and explain how these can be controlled more efficiently using Danfoss products, from programmers and thermostats to TRVs and motorised control valves. Instructors will also highlight the latest regulations relating to domestic heating installations, and recommend compliant solutions from the Danfoss range. The training day is completed by an afternoon workshop when installers can put their new-found knowledge to the test by wiring up a complete central heating control system and then check it for faults, continuity and correct operation.
Danfoss installer training courses include industry-approved training modules. They utilise the Institute of Plumbing CPD programme and the Institute of Domestic Heating and Environmental Engineers ‘Route to Membership’ programme. Installers receive a certificate from Danfoss on successful completion of the course.
