Danfoss, the world-class heating controls manufacturer, has restructured its UK sales and marketing support to provide an even better, faster service to specifiers, stockists and installers of Danfoss products, from electronic room thermostats to programmable TRVs. Gary McCarty, recently appointed Sales Director for Danfoss Heating Solutions, is heading up the new organisation, which includes specialist product support teams based at the company’s UK headquarters in Bedford and a highly trained regional sales force. He comments: “By providing reliable, state-of-the-art products backed by professional advice and support teams we can help our customers select the optimum products and maximise their sales and profitability; essential in these difficult economic times. Our new structure means we can channel the support they need more effectively, either from our head office or out in the field.”
Having joined Danfoss as Southern Regional Manager back in 1990, Gary McCarty brings an in-depth knowledge of Danfoss products, and the heating industry, to his new role. His father ran his own heating business and Gary’s first job after leaving school was with West Midlands Gas as a student apprentice. During his 23 years with Danfoss, Gary has gained experience in various sales and marketing positions and has seen many changes over the years. He believes one of today’s main challenges is to increase awareness of the need to save energy, not simply to reduce heating bills for consumers but to maintain security of supply for the future. As a global provider of energy-saving heating solutions, Danfoss is actively involved in lobbying for more public education and incentives to tackle this issue, says Gary McCarty. Summing up, he says: “Whilst there is plenty of talk about installing renewable energy systems in new houses, there are millions of existing UK homes without room thermostats. We need to get the message across that installing the latest wireless heating controls is a quick and simple upgrade that can make a big reduction to domestic energy consumption.”
Danfoss is a leading manufacturer of world-class heating controls, from programmers and thermostats to TRVs and motorised control valves, with factories in the UK and Denmark. The company’s extensive product range is supplied through a national network of stockists. As part of its commitment to improving the knowledge and profitability of its customers, Danfoss offers a programme of installer training courses and CPD seminars, covering all aspects of domestic central heating techniques. A comprehensive range of installer support services is also available, including the Danfoss Assist mobile website at www.Assistyou.Danfoss.co.uk, specially designed for viewing on a smartphone display screen and providing instant access to installation guides, handy helpline numbers and links to the latest offers from Danfoss.
