Danfoss launches online digital design centre

The new online Digital Design Center (DDC) from Danfoss has arrived, providing a one-stop resource for specifying Danfoss product solutions for heating and cooling, DHW, district energy networks and electrical heating. Using DDC, specifiers, planners and designers can access tools and configurators, BIM files, technical documentation and the Danfoss Knowledge Hub at the click of a button. Available by simply logging on to https://ddc.danfoss.com DDC makes it faster and easier to get the job done, from product selection and calculation reports to planning and collecting technical documentation.
The new Danfoss DDC saves time by supporting the design and specification of Danfoss solutions for all applications, whether that’s hydronic balancing and control valves for a controllable climate solution in a luxury hotel or a complete package of heat transfer and control products for a district energy network. Easy to navigate, DDC is divided into four main building blocks: Toolbox, BIM & Assets, My Projects and Knowledge Hub.
The DDC Toolbox offers online and downloadable tools and configurators in one place. These include HeatMAPTM, a simple method for calculating the size of Danfoss underfloor heating products for different rooms in a house; and the Danfoss Heat Selector featuring a user-friendly graphic interface to guide specifiers through the calculation steps for their project. The Toolbox also includes a Co2 reduction calculator that shows how much energy, cost, and Co2 savings can be achieved by installing Danfoss Ball valves – it also calculates payback time.
In the BIM & Assets section specifiers can find the first Danfoss Heating owned library of BIM files, together with data sheets, certificates, drawings, images and many other assets ready for download. With an easy search function, users are guided to relevant files in an intuitive way through application and functionality levels.
The My Projects section is where all the relevant files, tools and articles collected for a project using DDC can be saved in one place, so there’s no need to search for them again.
Last but by no means least, the Knowledge Hub provides a main source of knowledge and the latest news. This handy resource is filled with relevant content for specifiers, including technical articles and case studies, as well as direct access to webinars and events.
Commenting on the launch of the Digital Design Center Gareth Ash, Marketing and Technical Support Manager at Danfoss, says: “This new online resource reflects our commitment to making it easier for specifiers to find the right mix of products for their heating, cooling and district energy projects from our extensive range – whatever the size, needs or requirements. Convenient to access on smartphone, tablet or desktop computer, DDC is always at hand to provide the tools, BIM models and technical resources needed to manage a project more efficiently.”
